The Bradford–based author, Patrick O’Sullivan, has digitised his extensive work on Irish history and made it available for free download online.
The online archive includes 6 volumes of The Irish World Wide, 1992–1997, for which O’Sullivan was editor. Each volume is available in an individual, large pdf, or separated into chapters.
O’Sullivan has his own recommendations for which chapters to download. “Special attention is drawn to my own chapters on The Irish Joke, in Volume 3, and on Famine Theory, in Volume 6, but if someone wants to jump in at the deep end, I recommend reading my Introduction to Volume 5, Religion and Identity.”
