Can there be too many grant providers?

Garfield Weston Foundation
The Weston Anniversary Fund awards grants of up to £150,000 to provide new or improve existing community facilities. Grants are open to charities with an annual income under £3M and for projects that do not exceed £300,000. Grants range from £30,000 to £150,000. The deadline to apply for the current round of funding is June 30th.
Ford Britain Trust
Ford Britain Trust provides funding to charities and not–for–profits that have clear community benefits, work with children and young people, support education and schools, or support people with special education needs and/or disabilities. Funding can be used for capital projects, capital expenditure items, or towards the purchase of a new Ford vehicle. The deadline to apply for the next round of small grants (up to £250) is 30 June and the deadline for large grants (up to £3,000) is 31 July. They accept applications for projects across the UK, but give higher weighting to projects in close proximity to Ford locations in:
· Essex (including East London)
· Daventry
Greggs Foundation
The Local Community Projects Fund supports projects that help people who are: Disabled or suffering chronic illness, living in poverty, voluntary carers, homeless people, isolated older people or people with another demonstrable significant need. They prefer to fund organisations with an annual turnover under £300,000 and fund up to a maximum of £2,000. The last date to apply for this round of funding is 22 June.
Greggs Foundation
The Environmental Grant funds projects led by not for profit organisations with an annual income under £300,000 that improve the physical environment in a way that benefits the wider community. Funds can be used for the purchase of equipment, sessional salary costs, the purchase of plants or trees, small capital projects and learning activities. The maximum grant they provide is £2,000 and the current round of funing closes on 22 June.
