Volunteers from Haringey Irish Cultural and Community Centre, based in Tottenham North London who received an Unsung Women’s Award to mark International Women’s day 2015 – The awards were organised by a local Haringey based councillor – Cllr Sheila Peacock and are held each year to honour women in the community who give their time to support local organisations. The ceremony was held at Haringey Civic Centre on Saturday March 7th.
Over 40 women from various local organisations received awards on the night, having being nominated by colleagues.
The volunteers are members of the GMC and hail from Ireland, Britain and Montserrat!
