POLICY NEWS: Influencing Local Commissiong for Health and Care
Last year Regional Voices (of which London Voluntary Service Council is the London regional voice) was awarded Department of Health funding to support engagement between voluntary and community sector organisations and Healthwatch engagement with Health & Wellbeing Boards.
The LVSC website currently contains presentations from its LVSC engagement & support activity for VCS and Healthwatch representatives as part of its two–year programme to achieve the objects of this project. One of these presentations labelled ‘Guide tour/links to resources and tools for reps (actual title: ‘Supporting Influence: Resources & tools’) is very comprehensive.
Regional Voices’ publication Influencing Local Commissioning for Health and Care – Guidance for the Voluntary and Community Sector is also another useful source for those projects/service deliverers seeking to shape up their local representation in these fields.
