Are you an Irish emigrant? Have you left Ireland in the last 5 years? Crosscare Migrant Project want to hear about your experiences
Crosscare Migrant Project are currently conducting an online survey on the mental health of recent Irish emigrants abroad with a view to producing a short ‘emigrant driven’ guide on how to cope with the emotional and mental challenges of emigration.
Aimed at Irish people who have emigrated from Ireland at any stage since January 2009, they’re are hoping for input from Irish emigrants all over the world including those who have returned. The survey is confidential and in it they will be asking about coping mechanisms, emotional supports, homesickness, changing perceptions and also people’s positive experiences of emigration. They will also be asking people their own view on how their mental health has changed before, during and after the process of emigrating.
Please share the survey with anyone you know who may have left Ireland in the last five years. It could be a small but important contribution to easing the strain of emigration for future emigrants.
