Our Chair and Health lead invited to join Prime Minister’s Groups on Dementia

Back to all news

Charlotte Curran profile picOur Chair Dr Tilki has been asked to represent the Irish and other BME communities on the Prime Minister’s Rural Dementia Task and Finish Group.

Charlotte Curran our Health Development Coordinator and lead on the Cuimhne strategy has been invited to sit on the voluntary sector and civil society sub–group of the Prime Minister’s Champion Group on Dementia Friendly Communities. This will position her to further ensure that the Irish community’s needs in relation to memory loss are included in the forthcoming report to David Cameron.

Both groups look at the role that voluntary sector, civil society and rural communities can play in supporting people with Dementia. It’s a significant opportunity for us to represent the needs of our community and the very tangible results that can been seen from our Memory Loss strategy including new services by our members.
