As part of RTÉ’s consultation period on the future of Longwave radio broadcasting, research funded by the Irish government is being currently conducted among the Irish community in Britain.
This research aims to find out about those who use this Longwave service, where they live, and how they feel about the service. The research will also try to establish if the community is aware of, and can access other ways of listening to RTÉ Radio 1.
It is important that all of those who receive this Longwave service in Britain, have their say in its future. So we are asking you, the listener to take part in a short survey.
DEADLINE: The last date questionnaires will be posted out on is 30 Oct and the final date for receiving back completed questionnaires is Friday 6 Nov. Only completed questionnaires received by that date will be included in the research.
Taking part is easy…You can telephone the UK number, 0208 411 5142, to leave your name and address and to indicate whether you would like a questionnaire to be sent to you with a pre–paid envelope or to receive a call–back to complete the survey over the phone. If you request a call–back, you should expect to be contacted within two working days and the survey will take about 10 minutes. Calls are charged at standard rates. All information will be treated with strict confidence.
