Safe Home Ireland – Emigrant Support Service

Are you thinking about coming to live in Ireland?

Although based in Co. Mayo Safe–Home is a National Organisation that assists older Irish born emigrants to return to their homeland. We seek to secure Housing Association properties for applicants as near to their home place as possible in schemes throughout the country.

To apply for housing via the Safe Home Programme:
Applicants must be: older Irish born emigrants, aged 57 years or older, living in rented accommodation abroad and unable to provide accommodation for themselves from their own resources on return to Ireland. The must also be seeking to return to their county of origin or a county they have close, verifiable links with.

Returning to Ireland is an enormous step so we also provide information and advice about coming home to anyone thinking of coming to Ireland, regardless of age or circumstances. Our information pack deals with Housing, Benefits and Entitlements, Healthcare and Taxation.

If you would like to receive an information pack, apply to the Programme or contact us directly on specific queries, please contact:
