The Commission was established by the Irish government in 2015 to provide a full account of what happened to women and children in Mother and Baby home institutions during the period 1922 to 1998.
The final report of the investigation was published on 12 January 2021. You can read the full report HERE.
The publication of this report is an important milestone for the many thousands of former residents, their families and advocates, in particular those who directly contributed to the Commission’s work by sharing their deeply personal and lived experiences.
