The Race Equality Foundation are carrying out research on end of life care. This is to inform the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) review of end of life care.
They would like to speak to people who are receiving end of life care. They are also interested in talking to carers and family where someone who was receiving end of life care has passed away in the past year or so. Their research is specifically focused on black and minority ethnic people because current research shows they have poorer experiences of end of life care. People will receive a £15 voucher as a thank you for their time.
It is their aim to work with the CQC to improve end of life care for people, and to tackle the inequalities affecting black and minority ethnic communities (which includes Irish people). The evidence gathered will inform the planning and focus of local CQC inspections and be compiled into a report of the review’s findings to be published in 2016.
