The TCG Ladies Gaelic football team recently sported new jerseys and training kits that now proudly bear the Human papilloma virus (HPV) logo. The initiative is part of a campaign to help raise awareness of the importance of the HPV vaccine.

Laura Brennan from Co. Clare sadly passed away in March, aged 26, from cervical cancer. She spent the last 18 months of her life bravely campaigning to raise awareness of the HPV vaccine in the hope to increase its uptake, to ultimately reduce the incidence of HPV related cancers.

Representatives from the TCG team said “We are proud to support the Brennan family in their campaign to raise awareness of the HPV vaccine and are one of the first clubs in London to join the campaign. We would like to thank Dermot McSweeney and Montway Limited for generously sponsoring the training tops.”

Find out more about the HPV vaccine here, and to see how your club can get involved, please contact TCG ladies here.
