Traditional Irish Festival set for Birmingham

Back to all news

A new Irish event is being added to the calendar this November when Birmingham hosts its first traditional Irish music festival. Birmingham Tradfest, as it will be called, has been in the pipeline since September of last year when a number of musicians from the area began work on bringing a traditional festival to the city.

Since then, work has been underway getting together the substantial amount of funding and sponsorship that will be needed, starting with a Pre–St. Paddy’s Party fundraising gig on 15 February at the Irish Centre, Birmingham, headlined by two young Birmingham’s Irish bands – Lampa & Fian.

More details of the festival will be coming shortly, but in the meantime for more information, contact info@birminghamtradfest.co.uk or visit the website www.birminghamtradfest.co.uk.
