Back to all news

Irish in Britain is delighted to announce a new Corporate Supporter, Travel Department – Ireland’s leading guided holiday provider.

Announcing the news, Irish in Britain’s CEO Brian Dalton said, “We are very pleased to welcome Travel Department as a Corporate Supporter of Irish in Britain. Building this new relationship helps ensure that we can continue to be an independent voice working to support our members and the wider Irish community in Britain.”

With nearly 25 years’ experience crafting itineraries to worldwide destinations, Travel Department are the go–to Irish holiday maker and have been offering curated holidays in the UK for almost ten years.

Commenting on the new partnership, Sara Zimmerman, Travel Department managing director, said: “We are incredibly proud to have partnered with Irish in Britain and look forward to welcoming members on future holidays. The UK holidays are a very natural extension to our Irish programme giving UK customers, and our Irish compatriots, the choice of some great value, guided group holidays with like–minded people”.

As leaders in the Irish market they recognise that service is everything and that’s why their customers come back to book again and again. UK customers love the camaraderie of being with like–minded people and joining Irish groups, knowing they’ll see and experience the best of the world and have plenty of fun along the way.

In 2020 Travel Department is expanding its range of holidays across the UK and through a brand–new partnership with Irish in Britain is delighted to offer members an exclusive discount in order for them to experience these holidays.(Details have been emailed to Irish in Britain members)

With over 140 exciting destinations across Europe and the rest of the world to choose from members will be able to explore a multitude of tour options. These range from city breaks and week–long tours in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Croatia, to destinations further afield covering India, China, Russia and Japan. For something more adventurous their new immersive tour brand, TDActive offers destinations such as Vietnam.

The flexible itineraries dispel the perception that guided tours are too rigid and combine scheduled group excursions, led by knowledgeable guides, with free days to give customers the best of both worlds – a guided group holiday with independent travel.

Offering the ease of regional flights, in Scotland these depart from Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow and in Northern Ireland there are flights from Belfast.  In the South of England they offer London using Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, along with Bristol for customers in the West of England.

For Irish in Britain members who might like to travel together Travel Department also offer a fully serviced bespoke and tailor–made group service.
