For two nights only, The Irish Cultural Centre is delighted to present the UK Premiere of the Hit Show 'The Handyman, written & performed by Seamus O'Rourke - which is currently selling out all over Ireland!
Hugh Spotten is the local Handyman, he’s the man who gets things done – Caretaker, Tea Maker and Grave-Digger, (with his own crow-bar).. and he’s about to receive an award for his contribution to the community… but now, that’s all about to be taken away from him, as he’s being ousted, but Spotten’s not one for taking it lying down. He has to make the world see sense!
In this poetic, chaotic & funny one-man show, Ireland’s great actor Seamus O’Rourke explores friendship, relationships and how best to get noticed on your last day. The Handyman is hilariously funny, yet a poignant, poetic look at small-town life in rural Ireland.
Seamus O’Rourke is an award-winning writer, director and actor from County Leitrim who’s immersed in the fun of theatre and the gift of storytelling. He tours Ireland regularly with his own self-penned shows. Seamus has over two million hits on YouTube and Social Media with his collection of short stories, recitations and sketches. The Handyman is O’Rourke’s latest self-penned creation.
