Protecting ourselves and the people we care for from fraud, scams and financial abuse: the importance of tackling these important issues within our families and a look at the role payment cards may be able to play

Financial abuse can come in a range of forms, including having money, property or assets stolen, being defrauded, or being put under pressure to give money away.

Following our recent session raising awareness about scams and measures we can take to protect ourselves and the people we care for, Irish in Britain invites you to join this session looking at financial services available to support older relatives with day to day finance and spending

All welcome. This session may be of interest to community members from across Irish in Britain, particularly those who may be caring for friends and family living with dementia, as well as to community organisation front line staff and volunteers.

In this session we welcome back guest speaker Aidan McAllister.

Aidan has over 20 years of experience in the third sector and care industry. After experiences caring for relatives, Aidan co-founded GuardianCard, a financial service seeking to provide safe and secure banking for relatives to assist in managing the finances of family members, without removing independence.

Please do share this invitation with people in your networks who may wish to attend
