Our aims are focused on enabling all older people to live independently in their own homes and to combat social isolation amongst older people. We provide social events each week including a weekly craft group, flower arranging, film club, social afternoons with music and dancing and much more!
All these activities are designed to cater to older people including carers, housebound members and vulnerable elders. These activities make a positive impact on their lives by enabling them to interact on different levels at different activities. The events are open to everyone and we have seen a steady increase in attendance since their inception. We also provide a Care in the Community outreach programme for the elderly and housebound members of the community.
In addition to providing a befriending service we also assist them in completing official forms to obtain support they need, specifically financial assistance, carers allowance, pensions, passport forms and blue badge forms and signpost where appropriate.
