The club was formed by Irish migrants in Coventry in the 1950s for mutual support in gaining accommodation, employment and maintain Irish sporting heritage.
The charity’s formal objects are to benefit the residents of the city and neighbourhood.
We provide local facilities through the clubhouse, childrens’ play area and 4g and Gaelic pitches.
Within this overall strategy we want to ensure our core Irish identity remains strong and we have begun extending our welfare and well–being provision.
Our aspiration is to transform The St Finbarr’s Sports and Social Club into an environmentally and socially sustainable, community asset based hub for the whole neighbourhood.
