Dr Susan Cahill is a writer and former academic who has worked in university education for over 15 years.
Most recently, she was Associate Professor of Irish Literature in the School of Irish Studies, Concordia University, where she worked closely with the Irish community in Montreal.
She was Director of the School of Irish Studies’ public lecture series and collaborated with literary festivals in Montreal to showcase Irish writers.
She co-hosts a podcast, Storyshaped, about children’s literature and the stories that shape us. Her children’s novel, The World Between the Rain, will be published by Everything With Words in 2023.
Originally from West Cork, she now lives in North London and is excited to bring her experience in education, event management, community engagement, and storytelling to the Irish in Britain’s Heritage project.
